I was unusually nostalgic recently
For the time when it was allowed
To wallow in my own misery
These days it is impossible to feel down
Without some bugger empathising
Or ‘knowing what you mean’
I used to think that I was special and unique

(i.e. socially inept and kind of weak)

But things do change in the unlikeliest of ways

It isn’t in my nature to think about these things
